This site's entire thesis is that everything free has a price and somebody always pays it. It would be a strange thing to build that site and then pretend it fell out of the sky at no cost. So, in the spirit of every verdict this site hands out:

So is it free? For you — yes, as close to actually-free as I can make it. For me — no. Nothing is. That's the whole point of the site.

If you want to say thanks

You never have to. The content stays free either way, forever, and there's no premium tier hiding behind this paragraph. But time isn't free, and if you've gotten value here and feel like closing the loop, here's how — in order of what it costs you:

Where the money goes

Every dollar this site ever brings in — tips, merch profit, all of it — goes to one place: a special needs trust for my daughter, Sienna.

Sienna is sixteen. She has autism and cerebral palsy, and she'll need care for the rest of her life — help with meals, mobility, bathing, the everyday things most of us never think about. My biggest project isn't this website — it's making sure her future care is secure no matter what happens. This site is one small brick in that wall.
